Brad Pitt Oversees Major Renovations To Family's $56M French Chateau

Brad Pitt jet-setted to France this week, RadarOnline.com has learned, while Angelina Jolie stayed in LA, as the A-list hunk will oversee a renovation project for the couple's digs there, Château Miraval.

The renovations planned for their magnificent $56 million dollar French chateau include: a new gym complete with hot tubs, steam rooms and a spa; a huge wine cellar and a bike rack for Brad, who's a motorcycle lover.

The world-famous parents will also lock down the home with Fort Knox-like security system using alarms, spy cameras, and infra-red sensors.

The upgrades have pleased local leaders such as Correns Mayor Michael Latz, who said "The application has been received for widespread work on their new house, and we are delighted that they will be here more permanently.

"They are a wonderful couple with beautiful children and we will hold a civic reception to honor them."

The property is situated in Provence and classified as a historic monument.
