Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows, Part 1 is on track to have the biggest weekend opening in the history of the series, RadarOnline.com can report.
After a stunning $61.3 take on Friday -- showings began at 12:01 am - Deadly Hallows is on track to take in just over $125 million for the three-day period.
That's nearly double what the last Potter flick earned. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which opened July, 2009, took in $77.8 in its opening weekend.
As fantastic as the numbers are, none of the box office prognosticators are suggesting Daniel Radcliffe and company can beat the all-time champ.
The Dark Knight, opening six months after the death of star Heath Ledger, stands on top of the box office leader board with $158.4 million for its opening weekend in 2008.
