Keith Urban has lifted the lid on his marriage to Nicole Kidman, crediting her for saving him from his drug and alcohol addictions. The Australian musician opened up on The Oprah Winfrey Show, speaking out about his stints in rehab and why his wife should have 'walked away'.

When asked if Kidman saved him, the Australian musician said: "Absolutely. Thats the point right there, where she should have just walked....I'm just so glad she didn't. She made a decision to turn around and initiate this adventure."

Kidman - with the help of some of Urban's closest friends - staged an intervention in October 2006 in a desperate bid to save her husband, who at the time she had been married to for just four months.

"I was like, put the cuffs on, let's go," said Urban, who went to rehabilitation three times in eight years.

Kidman also made an appearance on the talk show and spoke openly about what makes their marriage a success.

"Marriage is about everyday trying to make it better and working through things," she said. "And when things are tough, saying, 'I'm going to come and talk to you.'"

Hollywood's Power Couples

The pair has been confirmed as guests on the much awaited Oprah Winfrey Show in Sydney, Australia next month.
