Tuesday's edition of MTV's 16 And Pregnant was choc full of drama, betrayal and even a little violence, as young mother Markai found out her baby’s daddy James had a recent fling with an ex, leading her to physically attack him in a jealous rage.

Markai, who admittedly had a shaky relationship with her own father, said "I told myself if I was going to have a baby, that baby's going to have a daddy, no matter what."

Building on that point, she told James "breaking up is never an option" -- a theory tested when she finds out her dreadlocked beau had recently had an unprotected roll in the hay with an ex-girlfriend.

The episode's peak came at the end of a string of tense exchanges between the two, as they sat in a parked car with their baby Za'Karia sleeping in the back, trying to figure out how to salvage their sinking relationship.

After Markai insulted James with a line from Dr. Dre song -- claiming she'd be hard-pressed to "turn a ho (James) into a housewife" -- James stormed out of the car, prompting the mercurial mother to jump out, run to his side and unleash a flurry of punches at her baby's daddy.

"I love you so much and I’m scared she’s going to come back and she’s going to take you," Markai told James after the violent outburst.
