On the heels of Gavin Rossdale's revelation he carried on a same-sex affair during the 80s, RadarOnline.com’s got a shot of the Bush singer posing with his former lover, a male singer named Marilyn.
In the shot taken circa 1982 - 20 years before he'd wed pop superstar Gwen Stefani - the two androgynous-looking men are posed side-by-side, dressed in white.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Rossdale recently told Details magazine that he hadn't acknowledged the affair publicly until now, because he saw no need to.
“I think at the outset there was a sort of fear -- that was right at the beginning of Bush, and I didn't want it to be part of it. It felt like a cheap shot, so I was like, 'I'm not getting involved,'" Rossdale, 44, told the magazine. “I've never wanted to appear closed about it. It's not something I've talked about really because it's always been in the glare of a tabloid world. It's just one of those things - move on.”
Rossdale told the magazine the same-sex relationship was "a part of growing up... no more, no less.
“When you're 17, Jesus Christ, I don't think there's anything strange about any form of anything," Rossdale said. "You're learning about life."
Marilyn, whose real name is Peter Robinson, said of his relationship with Rossdale: “He was the love of my life. We were together five years, but it felt like 40. He was just becoming successful in America. I agreed to lie against every grain of my being.”
