T.I.'s Wife Charged With Drug Possession

The Los Angeles District Attorney charged Tamika Cottle, the wife of rapper T.I., with a misdemeanor for possession of a controlled substance on Friday, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Last month, Cottle and T.I. were pulled over in Los Angeles on a traffic stop when authorities smelled marijuana. Police also found pills in their car.

According to papers filed Friday, ecstasy was found in the vehicle.

"On or about September 1, 2010, in the County of Los Angeles, the crime of POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, in violation of HEALTH & SAFETY CODE SECTION 11377(a), a Misdemeanor, was committed by TAMEKA DIANNE COTTLE, who did unlawfully possess a controlled substance, to wit, MDMA, ECSTASY," the legal document read.

Her arraignment is set for Monday, November 1, in Beverly Hills.

Cottle does not have to appear.
