EXCLUSIVE: It Was Ecstasy -- T.I. & Wife Drug Case Turned Over To D.A.'s Office

Pills found in the car of rapper/actor T.I. and his wife Tameka Cottle have tested positive as a type of Ecstasy, RadarOnline.com has learned, and the case has now been turned over to the District Attorney's office which now must decide what, if any charges will be filed against the couple.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, T.I., who's real name is Clifford Harris, Jr. was arrested Wednesday night, along with his wife ,in West Hollywood, California.

The 29-year-old Whatever You Like singer and his wife, 36, were pulled over on a traffic stop in the 9200 block of Sunset Boulevard, when authorities noticed the smell of marijuana.

While talking to the couple, police found pills in their car. The pills were taken to a lab and tested positive as a type of Ecstasy, authorities tell us.

Officials also say no other drugs were found in the car.

After their arrest, the couple was booked into the West Hollywood ,sheriff's station, and later released on $10,000 bond each.

T.I. married Cottle July 30 in Miami Beach. The Grammy-winner is no stranger to legal troubles, as he was released from prison late last year after serving time on an illegal firearms possession conviction.

T.I. currently can be seen in the box office hit Takers.
