Musician Ben Harper formally filed for divorce from his wife, actress Laura Dern last Friday after four years of marriage, and RadarOnline.com has obtained the documents.
Citing irreconcilable differences, Harper is seeking joint custody of the couple’s two children, son Ellery, and daughter Jaya and is asking the court not award spousal support to Dern.

However, Harper is willing to pay half of the all attorney's fees with his estranged wife.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the stunning split comes just three weeks after the couple and their two children traveled to Hawaii for the wedding of their close friend, Eddie Vedder.
The Pearl Jam frontman and model Jill McCormick married September 18, and the Dern-Harper family joined other celebs including Jack Johnson and Sean Penn for an almost week-long celebration in Honolulu.
Laura and Ben seemed the picture of happiness at the time.
The couple married on December 23, 2005 and Harper lists the date of separation as January 1, 2010.
A rep for Dern had "no information or comment" when asked about the split.
Harper's rep did not respond to our request for comment.
