Musician Ben Harper formally filed for divorce from his wife, actress Laura Dern last Friday after four years of marriage, and RadarOnline.com has obtained the documents.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Harper is seeking joint custody of the couple’s two children, son Ellery, and daughter Jaya and is asking the court not award spousal support to Dern.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the stunning split comes just three weeks after the couple and their two children traveled to Hawaii for the wedding of their close friend, Eddie Vedder.

The Pearl Jam frontman and model Jill McCormick married September 18, and the Dern-Harper family joined other celebs including Jack Johnson and Sean Penn for an almost week-long celebration in Honolulu.

Laura and Ben seemed the picture of happiness at the time.
