Josie is 7-months-old in the show and Michelle and Jim Bob took her to visit Dr. Charles Ball, who had great news for the parents of the preemie.
“Everybody is very pleasantly surprised about her development,” the doctor said about Josie.
Two nurses came gave Josie a shot in each little leg, and she cried her eyes out, but was calmed down by both of her parents. Josie is six times larger than she was at birth and at 10 pounds, 10 ounces, she's growing by the day.
Dad Jim Bob made a deal with his youngest daughter: “You gain 10 pounds, I’ll lose 10 pounds.”
“It is wonderful to have Josie home,” mom Michelle said about her daughter. The next youngest Duggar, Jordyn was adorable on the episode, just starting to talk and playing with Josie.
The episode also featured the Duggar family picture, which is hard to coordinate with 19 children, a daughter-in-law, a granddaughter and two parents.
Said Jessa about why the picture takes a whole day to capture: “Family group shots are hard for us because the little kids don’t always want to smile and somebody’s always picking their nose.”
19 Kids and Counting airs on TLC on Tuesdays at 9/8c.
