Lady Gaga is defending her decision to wear an all meat dress at MTVs Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.
"Well, it's certainly no disrespect to anyone that's vegan or vegetarian," she told Ellen DeGeneres following the event, where she took home a record eight musicmen awards.
"I -- as you know -- am the most judgment-free human being on Earth.
“However, it has many interpretations — but for me this evening it's that if we don't stand up for what we believe in, if we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're gonna have as much rights as the meat on our bones."
She ended her defense with a declaration: "I am not a piece of meat."
PETA has slammed her choice of dress but Ellen tried to help her out by giving her a bikini made out of kale.
