All the extra workouts and diets come down to Sunday’s Emmys Awards and RadarOnline.com is picking out the best and worst dressed stars live, as they walk down the red carpet.

From long dresses recalling Old Hollywood glam to short party frocks, there was a wide spectrum of styles and shade, which drew inspiration from such hit television shows such as Mad Men and True Blood.

Lea Michele got Glee glam in a midnight blue Oscar de la Renta strapless gown, which she blinged out with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, while Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland looked Grecian gorgeous in an elegant Pamela Roland gown.  Kim Kardashian looked Marchesa magnificent in an embellished strapless gown, adorned with dazzling Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and Claire Danes shimmered and shone in a beautifully blinding Armani Prive gown.

What didn’t work on the red carpet?  Eva la Rue’s overtly sexy cutout and daringly slit white gown, KayCee Stroh’s lava lamp looking one-shouldered gown and Julia Ormond’s putridly pink strapless.
