Movie-goers best remember Haley Joel Osment as the creepy psychic kid who saw “dead people” in The Sixth Sense.

But the former child actor is now all grown-up and making a comeback in his first adult role in the upcoming movie called Sex Ed, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

Osment, 22, who stayed out for the Hollywood spotlight for the last four years while he got a degree at NYU, will play a teacher who warns kids about safe sex, but his onscreen character is still a virgin!

“Haley plays a teacher who wants to teach algebra but ends up with sex ed instead,” an inside source told RadarOnline.com.

“It’s a throwback to his roots in comedy,” said a spokesperson for Osment. “He’s coming back as an adult.”

Production is expected to start in September.

Osment -- who was nominated for an Oscar as Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Sixth Sense -- hit the headlines for the wrong reasons back in 2006 when he was arrested for DUI and marijuana possession after losing control of his car.

He swore off drinking until his 21st birthday following the incident and concentrated on college instead living the celebrity lifestyle.
