EXCLUSIVE: 'Survivor' Murder Case: Family Petitions U.S. Embassy And FBI For Help

The family of Monica Beresford-Redman has traveled to Mexico City to petition the U.S. Embassy and FBI for help in the murder investigation, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The Los Angeles-area restaurant owner was found dead in a sewer in Cancun, Mexico on April 8. Her husband Survivor Producer Bruce Beresford-Redman was arrested that same day as a suspect. He was later released, but ordered to stay in Mexico. Emails obtained by RadarOnine.com show Bruce was involved in a love triangle; his marriage was on the rocks and the couple tried to rekindle their romance with the Mexican vacation.

Monica's mother, Ely, and two sisters, Carla and Jeane, are in the Mexican capital frustrated an arrest hasn’t been made in the case.. “The Burgos sisters, Jeane and Carla, and their attorney Alison Triessl are in Mexico City today asking the FBI and the US Embassy for assistance in the case,” says family spokesperson Valerie Allen.

Monica's body was formally turned over to her family Tuesday, and funeral arrangements for Monica are now being finalized. A source close to the family tells RadarOnline.com "Monica's body will be picked up from the airplane when it lands in the Los Angeles area by a funeral director."

Monica's sisters are expected to return to the United States later this week. “A second autopsy has been discussed, but no final decision has been made yet," our source says.
