EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Survivor Producer's Dead Wife Recently Learned He Was Having An Affair
"It was someone from work," Carla told RadarOnline.com.
“I know he was having an affair,” she previously said. “And Monica found out.” Carla is convinced that brother-in-law killed her sister based on the evidence she has heard. “I’m sure now that he killed her. There were witnesses who heard someone screaming and calling for help.Bruce also has scratches on his arm.
"They never fought. I mean there were arguments but they never got physical," Carla added. "I’m in shock. I never would have expected this to happen, not from him."
The couple, who have two children, had been staying at the Moon Palace resort in Cancun when Monica was reported missing. Her body was found in a sewer at the resort on Thursday morning.
On Friday, Bruce was released from Mexican custody but remains under investigation. He is not allowed to leave the country, according to investigator Veronica Acacio.
Francisco Alor, the attorney general for Quintana Roo state where the Cancun resort is located, confirmed that Bruce had scratches on his arms and face and that resort guests heard an argument in the couple's room on Monday night. A hotel employee was sent to check on the couple. Earlier on Thursday, the previous state attorney General Bello Rodriguez said a security guard saw the couple arguing on Monday night as well and said Bruce tried to hit Monica.
Beresford-Redman worked on the hit CBS show Survivor, winning three Emmys during his tenure. He also produced Pimp My Ride and The Restaurant. Monica was the owner of Zabumba Bar & Restaurant in Venice, Calif., a Brazilian eatery.
