Los Angeles County Chief Coroner Ed Winter confirmed that there will be an autopsy on Brittany Murphy’s body, as RadarOnline.com reported exclusively.
“We will be conducting an autopsy either tomorrow or Tuesday,” Winter said in a video interview on Sunday adding, “the final results will be pending the toxicology.”
Winter said, about Murphy: “The cause of death at this time appears to be natural. We do understand that she had a bit of a medical history and we’re looking into all aspects of that. There are some other issues….which I can’t get into at this time.”
Earlier Sunday, various family members arrived at Murphy’s Hollywood Hills home, which she shared with her husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack.
Winter confirmed that the 32-year-old actress was found unconscious in her bathroom early this morning, was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead of cardiac arrest at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
