Ashton Kutcher Remembers Ex Brittany Murphy: "The World Lost A Little Piece of Sunshine"

Ashton Kutcher may have gone on to marry Demi Moore shortly after ending his relationship with Brittany Murphy in 2003, but the actor was quick to offer his condolences after the news broke that she had passed away on Sunday.

"2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine," Kutcher wrote on his Twitter page. "My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany's family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon."

Kutcher- whose romance with Murphy blossomed on the set of the comedy Just Married- added a special note to Murphy herself.

"See you on the other side kid," he wrote in a separate post.

Murphy, 32, was pronounced dead on arrival at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She had been rushed to the hospital after her husband Simon Monjack reportedly placed a 911 call saying his wife was sick. Her cause of death is currently listed as cardiac arrest but an investigation is ongoing.
