Beverly Hills Cop Sequel In Works For Eddie

Prompted by the success of the latest Indiana Jones film, Paramount plans to revive another long-dead franchise and release a third sequel to the Beverly Hills Cop series, starring Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley. Sitting in the director's chair will be Brett Ratner, who brought us the Rush Hour films.
Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, who wrote the high-octane Angelina Jolie hit Wanted, are writing the script about the smartass Detroit cop.
