MAKING THE CUT McCain (Photo: Getty Images) • Cutting room fodder: Talking with Katie Couric on CBS Evening News Tuesday, John McCain continued his streak of foreign policy gaffes, getting the history of the surge in Iraq wrong. But no worries, CBS' crack team of video editors lent him a helping hand.

Comment, no comment: Now that pictures of him with a topless Sienna Miller have come out, Balthazar Getty comes clean, saying, "In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced ... which have caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that, yes, indeed, my wife and I have separated and I will not be commenting any further."

Say it ain't so: The National Enquirer claims to have caught John Edwards spending the night in the Los Angeles hotel room of a blonde divorcée, Rielle Hunter. The tabloid previously reported that Edwards had fathered a love child with Rielle that he refused to acknowledge.
