'Teen Mom' Fans Furious Over Ryan Edwards Driving Under The Influence While Filming

Maci Bookout's baby daddy Ryan Edwards put his life and the lives of others in danger when he drove while under the influence on the season finale of Teen Mom OG. The disturbing scene has fans in an uproar, as they are slamming MTV producers and his fiancée Mackenzie Standifer for allowing him to drive while high.

In the scene, Edwards nodded off while driving him and his fiancée to their wedding ceremony.

"Why are you swerving?" Standifer asked, as he slurred, "My eyes baby in the sunlight I can't keep them open."

She then punched his shoulder and grabbed the wheel from him as he continued to fall asleep.

"Hey you know what would be the coolest?" he asked. "Bachelor and bachelorette parties. I just thought about it, but I can't rethink about it. We're going to be married, we're going to be married."

Instead of telling Edwards to pull over, Standifer turned the cameras off.

"Did you take Xanax again?" she asked. "You did."

Fans turned to Twitter to slam Standifer for being more concerned about the cameras than their safety.

"Why in the hell did Mackenzie let Ryan drive high as hell that like? I am so disturbed from seeing that," one fan tweeted, as another wrote, "If someone was nodding off while driving with me next to them I'd be making them pull over immediately."

A third fired, "Ryan is so high driving this car. She's worried about turning the cameras off. Girl you can die!"

But Standifer wasn't the only one who came under fire, as fans also slammed MTV producers for catching it on camera and allowing him to continue driving.

"MTV's gonna have to cover their a** somehow for allowing the go pro to catch Ryan driving and not stopping him," one fan wrote, as another posted, "Why didn't @MTV tell @MacStandifer and @ryancedwards to pull over?"

Edwards checked into rehab after the episode was filmed.

"A little over 30 days ago, I made the decision to check myself into a rehabilitation facility," he told MTV. "I am back home now doing well, and life could not be better. Without the support of my wife and parents I would not have been able to do this. Thank you all for your well wishes."

MTV has not responded to RadarOnline.com's request for comment.
