Nearly a month after his shocking arrest Joshua Waring, the son of Real Housewives of Orange County alum Lauri Peterson, was arraigned on Friday. The 27-year-old heroin addict has appeared in a Costa Mesa courtroom and has pleaded not guilty to all charges, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
On June 20, Waring was arrested after he allegedly shot a man in front of his home, which is also in Costa Mesa, California.
Police told the Los Angeles Times that the disturbed defendant shot 35-year-old Daniel Lopez in the upper torso at around 2:30 a.m. Lopez was hospitalized at the time and is expected to recover.
“Apparently there had been a previous confrontation between Waring and the occupants of that residence earlier, and he had returned,” Costa Mesa police Lt. Paul Beckman said.
As previously reported, Waring currently has a whopping seven charges filed against him: three counts of attempted murder, three counts personal use of a firearm and one count of inflicting great bodily injury.
The Bravo star, whose bail is still set at $1.09 million for all charges, is currently in police custody, an Orange Country Superior Court PIO said Friday.
As RadarOnline.com also exclusively reported, neighbors were shocked by the disturbing incident.
“At about 1:30 a.m. my husband was still awake and heard people out in the street screaming and cussing,” a woman who lives across the street from the sober living facility, The Way Home, said of the dangerous altercation. “He came back in and just said he wasn’t going to deal with this.”
While the former reality star had two previous hearing dates scheduled, he did not appear before a judge on June 22, but Waring refused to leave his cell! The next day, his arraignment was postponed again due to undisclosed circumstances.
His pre-trail hearing is scheduled for Aug. 19.
