A month after RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that Matt Brown checked into rehab, the Alaskan Bush People star has admitted he recently sought treatment for alcohol abuse.

"I could see myself spiraling," the 33-year-old told People's latest issue. "I was more withdrawn. I was slower. Things didn't excite me the way they used to."

Worn down by "shame," Billy and Ami Brown's oldest son said he completed 35 days of in-patient treatment, and now feels "stronger and wiser."

However, he insisted he isn't an "alcoholic," but merely had a drinking problem.

Matt said he hid his drinking from his family, but it seems that's not exactly true. As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, the boozy party boy was arrested in 2013 for driving under the influence following a long night of bar hopping and sex in Alaskan state capital Juneau.

Cops noted that he was acting "nervous, jumpy, and talked real fast" after crashing into a parked motorcycle in a Wal-Mart parking lot at 5 am.

His father Billy bailed him out of jail hours later.

It seems Matt's drinking troubles will be covered on the current season of the Discovery Channel hit. On the last episode, Billy told his son he looked "rough" and confronted him about staying out late around town.
