Madonna and Guy Ritchie's fight over their son isn't over! The singer made an emergency trip to the UK when she learned her ex-husband hasn't been present for Rocco's new year of school.

"Madonna dropped everything in the US and rushed to be with Rocco," a family insider told The Sun. "Part of the reason for her agreeing to the custody deal was the knowledge that his next school year is crucial for his future. He has important exams coming up."

Rocco, 16, attended classes at his North London school, while his father and stepmother Jacqui Ainsley have been staying at Sting's Malibu mansion.

"She was deeply worried to learn that he had been left when Guy went off to holiday," the source said. "Any peace and understanding that existed between the parents has been tested by this."

Madonna, 58, is "disappointed" in her ex-husband's absence because she fears her son could ruin his attendance record if he does not have parental supervision, sources claim.

The mother-of-four visited the school on Tuesday, where she was photographed talking to her son's principal.

Their latest battle comes after the exes reached a settlement in the custody case on Wednesday.

Although details on the case have not been released, it seems Rocco will attend school in London.

The custody battle kicked off last year when Rocco refused to fly back from his father's London home to be with his mother in New York.

Despite the custody drama, Madonna and her son were spotted out to dinner on Tuesday in London.
