A Duggar family pastor said that while Josh's admitted sex abuse of five girls was "unacceptable," he's thankful God "can forgive everything,'' including Josh's misdeeds.

Dr. Ronnie Floyd, a 58-year-old pastor who serves at Rogers, Arkansas' Pinnacle Cross Church (where Jill and Derick got married), spoke with People about the sex scandal that has rocked the religious reality TV family to its foundation since news broke last month of the horrific incidents, which took place in 2002 and 2003. (Josh's parents Jim Bob and Michelle said their oldest child had made "very bad mistakes" in "sneaking" into the bedrooms of underage girls in the house and fondling them.)

Floyd didn't downplay the severity of the offenses, calling Josh's conduct "completely unacceptable.

"Everyone does wrong, and what was wrong was very wrong as to what was testified to," the pastor said, before focusing on how Josh's faith can ultimately redeem him for his past sins.

"I'm thankful, whether it's him or any other one, that I serve a God who can forgive everything," Floyd said.

The pastor, who has been practicing for more than 37 years, said that the religious community in his home state was "surprised by the news because ... their reputation in Arkansas is that they are a very Christian family.''

"Things like this have happened before and will happen again."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Josh, 27, resigned as the executive director for the FRC Action, a subsidiary of the Family Research Council, after reports surfaced of his sex abuse. Duggar was not charged in the incident.
