RadarOnline.com has learned Ben Affleck’s devoted mom, Christine Anne Boldt, is even more upset than her son over Jennifer Garner’s decision to fight back as the couple’s marriage nears an end.

“Chrissie’s really devastated by this and worries that Jen’s getting caught up in the fame game again and going for headlines by throwing Ben under the bus,” a family insider told RadarOnline.com.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Garner, 43, created shockwaves in Affleck’s camp after she decided to confirm and confront rumors in a recent interview with Vanity Fair that he was involved with their nanny, Christine Ouzounian.

Affleck’s mom is especially anger since the interview came right on the heels of “Jen making a promise to both of them that she’d protect Ben’s image no matter what.”

Yet here she is talking about the nanny affair and how she tried to make it work” with Affleck, 43, noted the insider.

Boldt and Garner were once extremely close, even attending church together as recently as November. But the relationship has completely changed now.
