The judge who sentenced "affluenza" teen Ethan Couch to ten years probation after his DUI crash left four people dead in 2013, has no regrets about her decision to go easy on the now 18-year-old, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to The Daily Mail, despite Couch fleeing for Mexico after violating his probation last month, Judge Jean Boyd, now retired, still believes she made the right decision in his previous case.
"I had all the facts — most people don't," the 63-year-old told the publication of her widely criticized ruling. "They just don't understand."
When asked if she had any regrets in the wake of Couch's escape from the country, Boyd answered flatly, "No. I have nothing else to say."
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Couch officially had his case moved to adult court after appearing in juvenile court in Fort Worth, Texas on Friday.

A spokesperson for the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office told Buzzfeed that the 18-year-old would remain in custody until April, when his adult hearing is set to begin.
Meanwhile, Couch's mom Tonya, who traveled with her son to Mexico, remains on house arrest at the home of her older son, Steven McWilliams, 29.
The 48-year-old could be sentenced to up to ten years in prison for her role in Couch's probation violation.
