Ethan Couch, the Texas teen who fled the country after violating his probation following a fatal DUI, has officially had his case moved to adult court.

Couch appeared Friday in front of a juvenile court in Fort Worth, Texas. A spokesperson for the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office told Buzzfeed that the 18-year-old would remain in custody until April when his hearing will take place in adult court to determine his revised bond conditions.

As Radar reported, back in 2013, Couch's legal team successfully argued that he was too spoiled to appreciate the consequences for his drunk driving, which resulted in the death of four people. Couch was sentenced to probation, but potentially violated its terms when he was spotted on video playing drinking games with his friends. He then fled to Mexico with his mom, leading authorities on a weeks-long manhunt. The mother and son were finally apprehended when a pizza delivery order tipped officials off to their location.
