Desperate Dad Brad Strikes Secret Custody Deal With Angelina
Sept. 30 2016, Updated 5:37 p.m. ET
That was fast! Just over one week after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, the couple have come to a tentative custody agreement, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.
Nothing final has been filed in court just yet. But according to a source familiar with the agreement, Pitt made several voluntary concessions in order to keep seeing his kids.
According to the insider, Pitt "volunteered to do drug and alcohol testing" as rumors about his substance abuse swirl. Said the source, "It was not required."
Pitt also "voluntarily agreed to participate in individual counseling," said the insider, and Jolie will enter counseling too.
The couple also agreed that Pitt's initial visit with the kids — Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, Vivenne and Knox Jolie-Pitt, 8 — will be monitored by a therapist. Said the source, "There is nothing mandated for supervision or monitoring. It was a voluntary agreement between the parents."
The secret negotiations were underway earlier this week, as RadarOnline.com previously reported.
Jolie has insisted that she filed for divorce for the "health" of her family, but the insider said the report includes no mention of concerns for the "safety" of the children.
The plan will be valid until October 20. For now, the source pointed out, "There is nothing at all about full custody, physical or legal."
