Denied! Court Refuses Brad's Desperate Attempt To Keep Custody Fight Private

While Angelina Jolie continues to try to publicly wage her bitter divorce and custody battle with estranged husband Brad Pitt, he's desperately trying to keep the family's dirty laundry under wraps.
Pitt had his lawyers request an emergency hearing to request a judge seal all documents involved in his increasingly acrimonious fight with Jolie, 41, over their six children, Maddox, 15; Zahara, 11; Pax, 13; Shiloh, 10; and 8-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox.
Now RadarOnline.com has exclusively obtained those explosive court documents dated Dec. 7, which detail Pitt's latest frantic efforts.
In a declaration to the court, Pitt pleads, Jolie "and I have been unable to agree on a custody schedule and I intend to file a Request for Orders to establish a schedule unless an agreement is reached."
Furthermore, he writes, "I am extremely concerned that if court records regarding custody are not sealed, information contained therein will cause irreparable damage to our children's privacy rights."
"In order to protect our children from irreparable damage," Pitt adds, "I am respectfully requesting that all custody-related pleadings be sealed."
Unfortunately for the 52-year-old actor, his request was shot down, since, the judge pointed out, Pitt is required to "specifically identify the documents to be sealed."
So while Jolie has won this skirmish, Pitt may still win the war since the judge, who will consider the issue further in January, noted that "the Court recognizes the privacy rights of the minor children and will be guided by what is in the minor children's best interests."
