It has been only two short months since the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, and the pain of loss was palpable in a new interview with grieving father Bobby Brown.

With his wife by his side, Bobby sat down with The Real for an interview set to air Monday. "We prayed and hoped for six months for something better to happen," he recounted painfully. "But when God calls you, he calls you."

Despite his obvious anguish, Bobby was able to jokingly describe how he envisioned Bobbi Kristina's mother Whitney Houston trying to convince God to bring her home to heaven. "I'm pretty sure her mother was ... had a part with like, 'Come on, let's get her up here.' "

However, even as Bobby heals, he reveals that part of him cannot help but look back and wish that he could have done things differently. "If I could have been there before, it would not have went down like that".

As RadarOnline.com has reported, the investigation into Bobbi Kristina's death is far from over, with many family members pointing a finger at her boyfriend Nick Gordon as the direct or indirect cause of her demise, and the executor of her estate has filed suit against him alleging that he not only abused her, but had misappropriated her money as well.
