Bobbi Kristina Brown's band of misfit friends who were present for the last hours of her waking life were strictly prohibited from bidding her a final farewell before she was laid to rest, RadarOnline.com has learned.

"The druggie pals that were with Krissi before she was found face down in the water-filled bathtub were not invited to the funeral," a source tells RadarOnline.com. "In fact, they were barred from attending!"

Brown's self-proclaimed "husband," Nick Gordon, was the top persona non grata at the Aug. 1 service at St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Ga.

Now, RadarOnline.com has learned that days before the funeral, Gordon sent an email to Brown's dad, Bobby Brown, and aunt, Pat Houston, in a desperate last-ditch attempt to be allowed to attend.

It read in part: "I'm begging you both...Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there."

Brown's family flatly refused Gordon's pleas.

Also kept away from the emotional service were Max Lomas, the man who placed the 911 call the morning Brown was found facedown in a bathtub on Jan. 31; Lomas's girlfriend Danyela Bradley; and Duane Hall, who partied with Brown six hours before her tragic accident.

Those that were allowed to come were forced to pass through strict security. Invited guests even had to show identification to enter the church for funeral, which had a Sweet 16 theme.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Gordon eventually decided to head to Daytona Beach, Fla., with his mom Michele during the time the funeral was held.

"He said the beach was always their favorite place to go so he decided that he would honor her," Michele reportedly said. "Nick went to beach with me."

Brown was buried alongside her mother at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J., over six months after she was found unconscious.
