Blindsided! Angelina Jolie's Dad Jon In The Dark About Brad Pitt Child Abuse Claims
Sept. 22 2016, Updated 7:03 p.m. ET
More shocking than Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce was the child abuse allegations that soon followed, but no one was as surprised by the claims than the couple's own family. Jon Voight exclusively revealed to RadarOnline.com that he has been kept in the dark regarding the explosive development.
"I don't know anything about that today," Jolie's father told RadarOnline.com when asked about the breaking news. "I don't have anything to say."
The blindsided actor then asked for specific details on the incident, which reportedly occurred when Pitt, was accused of becoming "verbally abusive" and "physical" with one of his six children on the family's private plane.
"Let's let things settle down," Voight, 77, added. "Let me figure out what's going on."
Despite People's report that the Los Angeles Police Department and L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services are "both investigating after someone anonymously reported the incident last Wednesday on the tarmac," RadarOnline.com learned the LAPD are not looking into Pitt.
"He is not under investigation by the LAPD at this time," Officer Jenny Houser told RadarOnline.com.
Rep Amara Suarez for the DCFS wouldn't confirm an investigation, as she stated, "We have very strict confidentiality laws. The laws don't allow us to confirm or to deny any investigations."
The bombshell claims come only days after Jolie, 41, filed for divorce from her husband of two years.
She requested sole physical custody of Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Shiloh, 10, Zahara, 11, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, leaving him with visitation.
