Jessica Simpson’s drinking and pill popping has reached a crisis level and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that her husband has threatened to take their kids if she doesn’t get help.

“Things reached a climax in early May, when Eric told Jess he has had enough and issued his ultimatum,” a source spilled about the troubled couple.

“He is worried sick that Jess’ conduct is going to start affecting their two children and that their oldest is starting to realize there's something wrong with mommy."

Simpson and Johnson have two children, Maxwell and Ace, but the former NFL star has told their mother that she has to get help for her substance abuse problems immediately, said the source.

According to the insider, Simpson still relies on the prescription drug Adderall to keep her 5-foot-3 frame at a mere 92 pounds and shockingly, she is usually downing her pills with Scotch.

“She can't be in denial any longer about the toll that her problems have taken on her marriage, or she could lose her husband her children – and her money," the source wanted.
