Is the Real Housewives of New Jersey doomed? With series star Teresa Giudice locked away in prison, Bravo execs are scrambling to cast new faces. But RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that they've had little luck so far — because the rich and fabulous wives of the Garden State are turning down their offers to star on the "trashy" show!

"After the seedy drama surrounding Teresa Giudice, production really wants to class up the franchise," an insider told RadarOnline.com. "They're looking for someone like Lisa Vanderpump from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

"Mercedes? BMW? That's not at all what they're looking for," the source told us. "They want someone who drives even more expensive cars than those. Think Bentley. They also want someone who has a huge house."

But according to another source close to the casting process, casting directors have been hit with rejection at every turn.

"Women who have that much money simply are not interested in doing something like the Jersey Housewives," the source claimed. "For one, they find it to be a trashy franchise."

"Some of them also do not want the scrutiny of the IRS!" said the source. "Anyone who would go on that show with massive amounts of money would likely be closely monitored after what happened to Teresa, so some people are simply choosing not to do that to themselves."

While Bravo searches for opulent women, fading star Giudice is experiencing a reversal of fortune behind bars: As RadarOnline.com reported, she is dealing with meager meals and worms coming out of the prison walls!
