LeAnn Rimes couldn’t control her emotions when she hit the stage at the 2013 American Country Awards and began crying during her tribute to the late Patsy Cline, RadarOnline.com is reporting.

Rimes, wearing a floor length sequin pink gown, performed a medley of Cline's greatest hits that included “Crazy” and “Leavin’ on Your Mind,” in honor of the 50th anniversary of the country legend’s death.

During the moving tribute, held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas Tuesday, Eddie Cibrian’s wife broke down in tears and could be heard saying, "I love you Patsy. Thank you."

Often berated for her relationship with Brandi Glanville’s then husband for the last few year, the 31-year-old country crooner obviously felt a deep emotional connection, as her hit song “Blue” was intended for Cline before she died in a 1963 plane crash. Then, in 1999, Rimes released her fourth studio album, which was made up largely of covers of Cline’s songs, such as “Crazy,” “I Fall To Pieces” and “She’s Got You.”

The performance ended with a standing ovation from both fans and artists.

Prior to the show, the “Spitfire” singer had expressed her excitement about the performance.

“Just finished rehearsal for the #ACAs I'm so excited to honor my favorite woman. Feels like it's coming full circle after 20 years,” she wrote on Twitter.
