In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, entertainment reporter and TV personality Pat O'Brien tells his "friend" Lindsay Lohan that he "loves her," and that she needs to get clean before she dies!
O'Brien, formerly of Entertainment Tonight, The Insider and Access Hollywood, was MCing a fundraiser for Friendly House in Beverly Hills Saturday. Friendly House helps women recover from drug and alcohol addiction.
"Lindsay is a smart girl," O'Brien tells RadarOnline.com "She has to want to be sober. She'd better start taking this serious before it's too late."
O'Brien knows all to well about alcohol and drug addiction as he's battled the disease for years.
In 2005, O'Brien left a string of sexually graphic voicemail messages to a woman he'd just met, suggesting they do cocaine together and have a three-way with his girlfriend. The tapes were a radio and TV sensation. O'Brien entered rehab for the first time soon after.

"Those were difficult times," O'Brien says. "I learned from them and I'm sober. I got through it and I feel better than I have in a long time."
As for his pal Lohan, she's currently rehabbing at the famed Betty Ford Center and will most likely remain there until at least her scheduled Oct. 22 court appearance.
"My heart goes out to her," O'Brien says. "I only hope she will come to terms with her illness and fight for her life."
