NYC housewife Alex McCord proved housewives can still be sexy, modeling for several designers during New York’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on Monday.

McCord, who told RadarOnline.com exclusively that she recently signed with the Celebrity Division of New York Model Management, walked the runway for the Malan Breton Spring 2011 and Belle Parish for Ali Landry Spring 2011 fashion shows.

“I walked three shows today but I’m booked for seven shows total, so it’s been really exciting,” McCord told RadarOnline.com. “I mean, I never thought I’d be modeling for Fashion Week. I never thought I’d be on the runway! It’s hectic, but it’s amazing.”

On her reality show, The Real Housewives of New York City, McCord makes no secret of her love for fashion, a passion she shares with her husband Simon van Kempen.

So have any of her fellow cast mates turned out to show their support?

“I think most of them are out of town,” McCord said, “but Ramona and I have been talking and trying to iron out our busy schedules so we can get together. It hasn’t happened yet but we’re trying.”
