Katy Perry To Host Teen Choice Awards on Fox

White-hot songstress Katy Perry will host August’s Teen Choice 2010 awards later this summer, Fox announced Monday.
Perry will also perform at the event, the network said, which is aimed at honoring the past year’s hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion, with irreverent categories you won't see anywhere else, such as Choice TV Villain, Choice Scene Stealer and Choice Country Music Artist.

The hosting gig coincides around the same time Perry, who has gone Platinum five times over, releases her new album Teenage Dream. So far, the record's first single, has ascended to Top 10 radio quicker than any other song in more than four years.
Perry is currently engaged to the star of the hot summer flick Get Him to the Greek, Russell Brand.
