Tom Desperate To Sit Down With Oprah Winfrey

Tom Cruise is fed up with Leah Remini's allegations against both him and the Church of Scientology — and he's going to do something about it "as soon as possible"!
The Mission Impossible actor is reportedly "sick and tired of all the rumors and accusations" and preparing to do a sit-down interview, according to a new report.
His top choice to conduct the televised conversation is Oprah Winfrey. "He's worried that a more hostile journalist would try to paint him an bad light," an insider tells Life & Style.
Cruise infamously sat down — and jumped up on a couch — with the 63-year-old queen of talk in 2005 to break the news that he was head-over-heels in love with his now-ex-wife, Katie Holmes.
As RadarOnline.com reported, former Scientologist Remini, 45, has been blasting Cruise in interviews to promote her new tell-all book, Troublemaker.
Another ex-church member, Mike Rinder, who was once the religion's spokesman, is certain Cruise, 53, will do a no-holds barred interview in order to minimize the damage done by "Hurricane Leah."

"It may even have the trappings of being a 'real' interview and be presented as something 'unscripted' and 'off-the-cuff,'" Rinder noted on his blog.
"Unless the really important questions are asked you will know that it is totally controlled and completely scripted. It will be the Scientology party line lifted out of the Miscavige letters to the media dressed up as a 'candid' conversation with Tom Cruise."
