In a last-ditch bid to save their shaky marriage, Brad Pitt recently whisked Angelina Jolie off for an exotic second honeymoon. But RadarOnline.com has learned his plan backfired big-time when the trip turned into a total nightmare!
The couple's latest problems erupted after Jolie, 40, packed up their six children in December and schlepped them to Cambodia, where she's directing the film, First They Killed My Father.
The Oscar-winning beauty was caught on camera getting flirty with a hunky crewmember, and after the photos were published, Pitt flipped out and jetted to Asia to confront her.
"Ever since Brad arrived, it's been one disaster after another," added the source.
"Brad was ready to fly back to Los Angeles and file divorce papers. But a few friends and his parents begged him to make one last try to save the marriage."
Determined to patch things up, the Fury hunk, 52, booked a lovers-only retreat in Vietnam. "He hoped that he and Angie could reignite the spark between them, but all they did was scream at each other," dished the source.
"Angie even humiliated Brad by telling him she's no longer attracted to him because he looks fat, bloated and old."
"Brad and Angie were fighting like cats and dogs," an insider said. "It got so bad at one point that Angie bolted and ran off!"
Indeed, the source claimed she ditched him to head to a resort spa for solo pampering.
Still focused on getting the marriage back on track, Pitt booked yet another trip — this time with the kids — to Thailand, where he rented an $18,000-a-night resort villa.
"Brad was hoping the whole family could bond, but that didn't work out either," the source told Radar.
Instead, the couple's adopted son Pax, 12, broke his leg while on a jet ski!
Said the source, "Despite a luxurious holiday that cost $1 million, Brad and Angie are worse off than ever. The vacation solidified the belief that their marriage is beyond repair. A divorce is definitely coming this year."
