Fortunately, both parties were not harmed.
Suspicious packages were also discovered today at the White House in Washington D.C. and CNN in New York City.
The news comes on the heels of another incident that took place on Tuesday, October 23, at George Soros' home – the billionaire and major democratic donor.
A pipe bomb was sent to his house located in the New York City suburbs and was "proactively detonated" by a bomb squad.
FBI officials noted that they were investigating the matter.
Authorities told RadarOnline.com that the packages sent to Clinton and Obama's home "appear to be of similar pipe bomb style" as the one found in Soros' home.
"The Secret Service has initiated a full scope criminal investigation that will leverage all available federal, state, and local resources to determine the source of the packages and identify those responsible," the secret service statement concluded.
