Steve Jobs was a visionary product designer who revolutionized the computer world, but was he still struggling to let go of his obsession with LSD?

In a new series by Reelz called Autopsy: Steve Jobs, Dr. Michael Hunter — who never treated Jobs before his death — is reassessing the Apple genius’ medical records and digging up new evidence that begins to clarify why the icon may have refused medical advice after being diagnosed with a rare and easily treatable pancreatic cancer.

“Spiritual exploration, extreme diets,” Dr. Hunter starts out by saying in a sneak peek clip. “I’m starting to build a picture of what led Steve to undergo alternative therapies rather than follow the advice of his doctors. And I’ve located another intriguing piece of evidence,” holding up documents on camera.

“I have here an FBI statement that was signed by Steve, in which he claims to have used LSD regularly in the 1970s.” Dr. Hunter said.

As previously reported, despite finally agreeing to undergo the necessary surgery to remove his growing tumor in 2004, Jobs still died in 2011 after doctors discovered that the cancer had spread even more than they had realized.

Autopsy: Steve Jobs airs on Saturday, June 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Reelz.
