Not Alone! Demi Lovato ‘Beyond Devastated’ Over Selena Gomez Breakdown

Selena Gomez checked into a treatment center this week after suffering a mental breakdown, and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that troubled longtime pal Demi Lovato is right there by her side for support.

“This just breaks Demi’s heart but she definitely understands what Selena is going through more than anyone right now,” a family insider said.

“She has spoken to her and will continue to be there for her just as Selena was there for Demi following her overdose.”

Gomez, 26, and Lovato, 26, came into fame together as Disney stars, and have both been open about their struggles with  mental illness.

But it isn’t only the fallen pop princesses who are leaning on each other right now, as the source revealed to RadarOnline.com that their mothers are turning to each other for support as well.

“Demi’s mom Dianna and Selena’s mom Mandy have been close friends forever too, and Dianna has definitely been a huge source of support and strength for Mandy this week, just as Mandy has always been for her.”

“It just been so hard to watch their kids suffer right now, especially after they were so sure that Selena and Demi had overcome their demons."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported exclusively, Gomez’s family has shut out ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, as well as her former party pals.
