'My Mind Is Crazy': Selena Gomez's Desperate Video Confession Before Hospitalization

Just weeks before Selena Gomez was hospitalized for mental health issues, the star opened up on an Instagram live in what appeared to be a cry for help.

On September 22 around 1:30 A.M. the 26-year-old took to her Instagram account and revealed that she was fed up with fame and social media, admitting to having had a "weird past few months."

"I'm sorry, my mind is really crazy," Gomez replied to a fan who asked about her involvement with A21 — an organization that helps combat human trafficking.

Gomez described the reasoning behind her hand in the non-profit. "I felt it on my heart that I needed to do something and I wasn't satisfied with anything else," she said, before seemingly suggesting she was no longer happy in the entertainment industry. "I wasn't satisfied with stuff. I'm sounding a little crazy, but I don't really care."

She explained her rant, saying, "This is who I am. I'm either going to lose a ton of fans or gain some," she went on, "people are like 'she's insane I'm not going to trust this human being anymore.'"

"Everything is good. I had obviously a weird couple months," the troubled starlet admitted.

The actress later revealed how she uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy — a program designed to help those with mood disorders and depression — to help her deal with her issues.

Despite undergoing DBT treatment, Gomez told fans she was still dealing with anxiety. Most recently, she opened up about getting frequent panic attacks while working on her new album.

"I get this feeling where I started sweating in places, because I get so nervous all the time," Gomez said in the live video. "I was in the studio last night recording this amazing song. While I was in the studio I started sweating in the weirdest places. And I think because in my mind I was like 'this song isn't going to be good.' I don't know if its good, I feel like it's... I don't know you guys. Bare with me. Anxiety is a very real thing."

She then went on to explain how fame and social media had ruined her life. "I can't believe people care that I have followers. Like why do people care? That's the craziest thing to me. I have no idea why. Because that's not what life is about at all. It makes no difference to me, at all," Gomez said. "If I had zero followers, literally. I mean I'd be sad, but I mean I'd lived my whole life in front of everyone, and this is what you get."

"It kills me. It destroys peoples lives. I just don't understand why people are obsessed with something that hurts you."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Selena voluntarily checked into a mental health facility after suffering an emotional breakdown.

According to reports, Gomez’s mental health crisis hit while she was hospitalized for low white blood cell count one year after undergoing a kidney transplant.
