‘Behind-The-Scenes Boss’ Savannah Guthrie Turns Diva After Matt Lauer’s Firing

Almost three months after Matt Lauer’s firing, Today host Savannah Guthrie is now the most powerful person at NBC News!

“Savannah is running the NBC News division. Even Lester Holt in scared of her,” an insider told RadarOnline.com exclusively. She no longer wants anyone at NBC who isn’t loyal to her.”

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Guthrie, 46, has been at the network since 2007. That year, she began hosting alongside Lauer, 60, and became a close friend of the disgraced TV personality.

According to the source, “Savannah Guthrie knows that post-Matt, she's all the network has.”

Today can’t lose another anchor and certainly can’t do anything that might upset a female host in this current environment,” added the insider, speaking of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements.

“She has seized power and everyone is bowing down to her, including Hoda Kotb. The is now much bigger than Today,” the source concluded. “Savannah is sending notes to every show under the wews division including the Nightly News and Sunday morning shows. She is the new face and behind-the-scenes boss at NBC.”
