Sam Smith and boyfriend Brandon Flynn have called it quits after nine months together.

As RadarOnline.com has learned, the singer and the 13 Reasons Why actor broke off their heated romance last week—and the split didn't seem at all amicable.

While sources claimed the two ended their relationship due to complications with their schedule, Smith, 26, quickly deleted various photos of Flynn, 24, from his Instagram as soon as they separated!

An insider told The Sun that Sam Smith is "obviously devastated, since Flynn was the most serious boyfriend he'd ever had.

This Tuesday on Instagram Story, the "Stay With Me" singer—who is currently on his U.S. tour—posted a series of cryptic messages relating to the breakup.

First, he shared a screenshot of Clean Bandit's hit single, "I Miss You," playing on his iTunes. Then, he shared a graphic image with the word "LOVE" written in black and white!
