'Likely' To Be Cancelled: ABC Pulling 'Roseanne' After Barr's Shocking Racist Tweets

ABC is pulling Roseanne after the actress' racist Twitter scandal, RadarOnline.com learned exclusively.

Execs of the hit show reveal they hoped Barr's apology would allow them to "weather the storm" but reaction from advertisers has been "beyond anything they have ever seen."

Sources say Barr was reluctant to apologize but execs made her. She said in a statement: "I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste."

"She did not want to apologize and that apology was written by corporate," the informant told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "Basically, they said if you don't apologize, we are canceling it."

"She did, but it's not enough," said the source.

As fans know, earlier this week, the 65-year-old actress attacked Barack Obama's former advisor, Valerie Jarrett, in a shocking tweet that sent social media users on a whirlwind of fury.

"Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby," Barr wrote while replying to a tweet which accused Jarrett of helping to hide alleged offenses from the Obama administration.

Twitter went into a frenzy, ripping Barr — who is a Republican and avid Donald Trump supporter — calling her comment extremely offensive, immoral and racist.

"Muslims r NOT a race," she replied, later saying that her comment was just a "joke."

Following the scandal, Roseanne head writer Wanda Sykes announced she would be quitting the show. "I will not be returning to@RoseanneOnABC," the actress, 54, tweeted this Tuesday.

Sources said Sykes went straight to the top and said she won't work on Roseanne anymore and then made it clear that if they don't cancel the she would never work with ABC again.
