Love After Tragedy: Robin Williams’ Youngest Son Engaged To Longtime Girlfriend
June 6 2018, Updated 12:00 p.m. ET
The son of beloved Hollywood icon Robin Williams is engaged, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
Cody Williams, 26, the youngest of the late actor/comedian's three children, recently made things official with girlfriend Maria Flores.
His sister Zelda, 28, posted a photo of the couple on her page with Flores holding her hand out with “I SAID YES” written on it in marker, displaying a huge sparkler on her ring finger.
“Two of my favorite humans on this big blue marble got engaged yesterday,” Zelda wrote underneath, adding: “To watch you grow from an annoying little brother who I fought with constantly (but definitely loved) into one of the most incredible I’m honored to know and in awe of constantly has been a true joy for me.”
Cody, who was born to Robin and his second wife, Marsha Garces, has followed in his funnyman father’s footsteps and works as an assistant director on movies including Trouble with the Curve.
Zelda added: “You know you’re already like a sister to me, but who doesn’t love to add some jewelry on top to make it official! You are a light in every room you walk into, a bright, glittering human who has brought so much joy to my little brother in his darkest times, and someone I am so incredibly ecstatic to welcome into my family with open arms (though, who’re we kidding, you were family already!).”
Her reference to the “darkest times” will no doubt be a subtle nod to the sudden passing of their legendary father — ruled a suicide — back in August of 2014.
Cody made a statement at the time saying: “There are no words strong enough to describe the love and respect I have for my father. The world will never be the same without him. I will miss him and take him with me everywhere I go for the rest of my life, and will look forward, forever, to the moment when I get to see him again.”
The newly engaged couple were last pictured in late 2017 at BRING CHANGE TO MIND's Annual Revels & Revelations event in San Francisco.
