Ramona’s Secret Hell: Singer Contemplated Suicide After Husband Mario’s Affair, Popped Pills To Fight Depression

When Ramona Singer’s husband of more than 20 years, Mario, began cheating on her with a much younger woman, the Real Housewives of New York star’s world came crashing down.

The 58-year-old wife and mother became so depressed, she claims in her upcoming book, Life On The Ramona Coaster, she contemplated suicide, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

“The stress of everything became unmanageable and it began to wreak havoc on my mind, body and spirit,” she writes in her brutally honest memoir. “There were times when I was so low that I almost felt like throwing myself in front of a subway train.”

A doctor soon placed the “emotionally broken” jewelry designer on anxiety medication, she claims.

But it didn’t help. Ramona began taking too many pills in order to dig herself out of the hole.

During a Broadway performance of Kinky Boots, “I kept nodding off because I was taking too much anxiety medication,” she confesses. “I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was overmedicating myself to combat depression.”

Fortunately, Ramona kicked her 60-year-old hubby out of the house and slowly began to regain her health, she says.

After learning Mario was still cheating with fitness instructor mistress Kasey Dexter, 33, last summer, she filed for divorce for the second time.

Though sources tell RadarOnline.com she has considered giving him a third chance, the former couple has yet to reconcile.
