Prince Charles' Friend Rips Meghan Markle's Father And Siblings

A friend of Prince Charles has blasted his son Prince Harry's new wife Meghan Markle's family!
According to the Daily Mail, interior designer Nicky Haslam, 78, who is a good friend of the royals, recently let loose on the Markles.
Haslam, who has worked for Prince Charles, socialized with Princess Di, and once sang in front of Queen Elizabeth, said it was great that Meghan's reclusive father Thomas, 73, and siblings didn't attend her royal wedding to Prince Harry, 33, in May!
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Thomas was set to walk Meghan, 36, down the aisle until he was caught in a photo staging scandal and then announced he had to undergo emergency heart surgery. He didn't come to the wedding and Prince Charles walked Meghan down the aisle instead.
That was fine with Haslam, who has been a contributing editor at British Vogue and Tatler, because, he said of the Markles, "They're frightfully common. It would have been awful if that huge lump Meghan's father had been there."
Haslam also opined, "The royals probably don't quite know how to deal with them."
Still, the British interior designer said of Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, "One person who wasn't common was her mother."
But the royal hanger-on didn't much care for Meghan's Givenchy bridal gown, sniffing, "I didn't very much like her dress — it didn't fit, among other things. It should have been made of thinner stuff, it seemed to be made of concrete."
Fashion opinions aside, Haslam ripping Thomas might not make a difference to the royal family.
As RadarOnline.com has reported, a source said Meghan's dad Thomas has been banned from royal events for life after he blindsided the family with his recent surprise TV interview.
The Palace was shocked when Thomas opened up to journalist Piers Morgan, discussing his political debates with Prince Harry, his staged photo scandal, his heart condition and his biggest regrets after missing his daughter's wedding day!
